1. Taebak Snow Festival - Taebak
This is a Festival where you can see the magnificent scenery of white snow piled up on boughs like cherry blossom.

King Danjong Festival - Yeongwol

The Largest mime festival in Asia, with many domestic and foreign mime theatre group participating (end May).

Hyoseok Cultural Festival - Pyeongchan
Hyoseok Cultural Festival is held to commemorate modern Korean writer Lee Hyo-seok and his popular novel 'When Buckwheat Flowers Bloom,' which demonstrates the connection between human life and beauty of nature through the dazzling scenery of Bongpyeong. In fact, Bongpyeong is the author's hometown, and appears frequently in his novels.

Song-i Mushroom Festival - Yangyang

Arirang Festival - Jeongseong
This festival takes the theme of ‘Jeongseon Arirang’, a variation of the Korean folk song ‘Arirang’, which was developed in the Jeongseon region. The Jeongseon Arirang Festival was started to preserve the ‘Jeongseon Arirang’, an intangible cultural asset, and to pass along its culture to following generations.

Seorak Cultural Festival - Sokcho
The festival has been established to promote unity among local residents and Korean traditional folk culture rooted in Sokcho. During the festival period, the local citizens and tourists participate in several events regarding the sea and mountain such as a climbing competition, visiting Seoraksan National Park, a gaetbae (ship)-dragging competition, a fishing competition, trundling of heundeul bawi (흔들바위; literally "swinging rock"), and the tasting of squid dishes.
